Detailed Serpstat Review: What Are the Main Features That Serpstat Offers?
Though it’s not possible to talk about all the features of Serpstat in one review post, I’ll try to cover as much as I can.

First things first, Serpstat gives you an overview of any particular website, including its search visibility, monthly search traffic, and the number of organic and paid keywords that it is ranking for.

Along with your top ranking keywords, Serpstat’s domain analysis feature also allows you to see the keyword position distribution.
You can see how many of your posts are ranking in the top 10, top 50, and top 100 search results on Google.
The graph below shows that my site is ranking on #1 position in the Google SERPs for 606 keywords and on page 1 of Google for 5,566 keywords.
This SEO tool also showcases your top-performing posts that are ranking for the maximum number of keywords.

2. Competitor Research
Another great feature that makes Serpstat worth the investment is its competitor research features.

Serpstat lists all important details about your competitors such as:
- The number of common keywords you’re targeting
- The number of keywords that your competitor is ranked for, but you’re not targeting yet
- The overall search visibility of your competitor domains in comparison to past data
You can also compare your site against any particular competitor, one-on-one.
For this, you need to visit Serpstat’s Domain vs. Domain and select two or three of your competitors.
I really love the competitor analysis graph that clearly shows where your brand stands. It kind of motivates me to do good work and boost SEO results.
See the common keywords you’re targeting and your ranking positions against the competitors you selected. It also shows improvement and decline in rankings over time.

3. Keyword Research Tool
Serpstat’s keyword research tool helps you find relevant keywords from a huge keywords database.
It gives you details about the search volume, keyword difficulty, CPC, and PPC competition of each keyword.
You can also look at related keywords to get more keyword ideas for planning your site’s content calendar.
Again, Serpstat lists the search volume and keyword difficulty for all suggested keywords.
I recommend that you choose keywords with high search volume and low keyword difficulty score (KDS) to rank easily in the SERPs.
They also offer “Search suggestions” based on Google’s autocomplete.

What I really like about this tool is that it also lists the most popular words that Google suggests. This will help you identify terms that people use to search for that topic.
Similarly, you can use their “Search questions” feature to identify questions that people are searching for.
Ensure that you answer these questions in your content and it will help you get listed in the Featured snippets on Google.

Whether you run a SaaS company or an ecommerce brand, Serpstat will make it easier for you to find the right list of related keywords, questions, and popular words for specific keywords.
But that’s not all…
This tool will also help you create content that ranks for any specific keyword.
You can see a list of the top pages that rank for a particular keyword and its variations.

Backlink analysis is one of the most useful Serpstat features. The amount of data and insights it offers is spot on.

4. What is keyword difficulty?
Keyword difficulty is a score that defines how difficult it is for you to rank in Google’s search results pages (SERPs) for a specific term. It depends on a number of factors such as:
- Domain authority

- Link profile
When choosing a keyword, you should evaluate its keyword difficulty score to ensure that you have a realistic chance to compete for that keyword against your competitors.
It is likely to be more difficult to rank for the keyword, “best restaurants in the US,” than it would be to rank for “best vegan restaurants in the US.”
You should choose keywords with a difficulty score between 30 and 70. Also, ensure that they have a high search volume so that you don’t end up wasting your efforts.
5. What is the best way to improve your search engine rankings?
To improve your search engine rankings, you should:
- Understand your target market and how they look for things on search engines.
- Conduct extensive keyword research.
- Create SEO-friendly, high-quality content for your target keywords. Make sure it addresses the questions and concerns of your target audience.
